Finding the time and energy to organize healthy lunches can get extremely hard in our busy lifestyles, but the Lazy Girls have found an easy solution to this problem!

How to succeed at a 30 day challenge

Lazy Girl Weekend @ the Good Food and Wine Show Brisbane 2013

Even Lazy Girls need a day off to recharge the batteries and seeing as The Good Food and Wine show was in Brisbane this past weekend it seemed like a good chance to unwind with friends. It's no secret that the Lazy Girls love good food...and wine, so this seemed like the perfect show for me to attend.

I personally love an event that is so encouraging of you to sample fine wines that it sells wine glasses on lanyards for you to wear around your neck...after all you are going to need your hands free for all the food samples you are going to try, right? Whilst I wasn't quite ready to hang a glass from my neck, Erica and I did purchase glasses to use for wine/cider sampling later in the day.

H2O....to drink or not to drink?

Ok...I'll admit it...I have a dirty little secret...I HATE drinking water. I know it's good for me, I know I need to, but I just don't like it....I know I'm not alone here.. right?

Whilst Lazy Girl A drinks water like it's well....water, I have never been as diligent with my water intake. I know all the scientific reasons why I should drink it, I know it is good for me but I just forget, and prefer the taste of other beverages.

I can make all the excuses in the world but the fact is I know I need to drink more water. So I decided to set my own 30 day challenge to drink more water. 30 day challenges don't have to all be about exercise - you can set your own personal challenge - go on... I dare you!

Introducing Your Lazy Girls

The Lazy Girls philosophy isn't about being 'lazy' it's about finding ways around our biggest excuses. Lazy Girl A and Lazy Girl F aka Amanda and Fiona certainly aren't your typical fitness fanatics. We are, however, totally committed to making small changes to improve our health and fitness everyday.

My Love Affair with the Webber Q

We have a new addition to our household and I am absolutely in-love! The boyfriend and I recently moved into a new apartment which has an incredible balcony so we decided to splash out and get some beautiful new outdoor furniture from Outdoor Living - including my new love - the Webber Q.

The Happiest 5Ks on the Planet - Swisse Color Run

The Lazy Girls couldn't be in two places at once this weekend and with Amanda and Fiona completing the Neon Run in Brisbane, we asked our friend Erica to guest blog for us on her experience of the Color Run 2013.

They promised and they delivered " The happiest 5ks on the planet" or in our case the Sunny Coast.

Light up the Night - Neon Run Lazy Girls Style

Glowing, dancing, running, walking, what more could you ask for on a Saturday night in Brisbane?

A few months ago a group of fellow Lazy Girls from our work decided to form a team and enter the Neon Run. Supersprint teamed up with Beyond Blue, Hydrolyte and Brooks to put together this event. As this was a new event for Brisbane we weren't sure what to expect.

Recipe Review - Make Your Own Semi-Dried Tomatoes

For a little while now I have been following Deliciously Clean on Facebook. A fantastic site that posts delicious clean recipes for you to try at home.

Recently a recipe for making semi-dried tomatoes piqued my interest as I had just been given a whole stack of beautiful Roma tomatoes from my parents.

Book Review: More of the Fit Woman's Secrets by Lorna Jane Clarkson

It's no secret that we are both huge fans of the Lorna Jane clothing line and her Move,Nourish, Believe philosophy so I was pretty keen to get my hands on her new book 'More of the Fit Woman's Secrets'.

Boyfriend Baked Pears

This recipe is so easy that this Lazy Girl's boyfriend can even make it! Trying to get my cruelly naturally thin / super high metabolism boyfriend to understand that not everyone can eat whatever they want without putting on weight has been a challenge. He has been super supportive though, and decided that he would cook me a guilt free dessert from Crunch Time Cookbook by Michelle Bridges.

Active Nation Day - 29th September

Now Move It!

The 29th September is 'Active Nation Day' a day where we all need to get up and move!! Visit the Lorna Jane website http://nowmoveit.com/ to pledge how you are going to make an active change in your life. There's also great examples there of the changes others are pledging to make in their lives. Very inspiring.

Is it ever OK to wear a bum bag?

I'm not much of a runner, but I am trying. I'm using an app called Runkeeper  to track my running (sometimes more walking than running) in order to help motivate me by monitoring my progress - and it seems to be working. The only downside is that the app is on my iPhone, so I need to carry it while I run. Previously I was just carrying it in my hand, but as I got sweaty I was concerned that it may slip out of my hands and it is kinda awkward to carry it in my hand.

I had seen heaps of super fit people running with arm bands for their phones, so I thought that I would give it a go. So I popped into Lorna Jane to get an arm band and may have ended up with a couple of other purchases (they were really cute and I had to have them) which meant that I had spent enough to get the free monthly gift (YIKES!) which happened to be a "running belt" which is a fancy way of saying "bum bag". I graciously accepted the gift thinking that I would never use it as my other Lazy Girl friends would mock me for eternity!

Working Out @ Work -It Can Be Fun!

The best way to fit a workout in during the day is to...workout on your lunch break.

Yeah, I know what you are going to say.... I don't want to have to get changed at work, I don't have time, what if people see me in my workout gear? I've heard all of these excuses before because I said them all, just a few months ago, but I can tell you working out during the working day has so many benefits.

Here are my top 5 reasons for 'lazy girls' to workout at work.
